Sunni Parisien (Chippewa) is a citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and is proud to call the Turtle Mountain Reservation home. She is a rising senior at Yale University studying Ethnicity, Race, and Migration. Additionally, she is the Creative Director and a poet for WORD at Yale, a spoken word poetry collective. Sunni’s work is interested in generational memory, Indigenous futurity, and exploring the role of language in collective liberation(s).
